In accordance with Rule 49, Arizona Rules of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court is responsible for appointment of members to the Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Arizona. Two incumbent members of the Disciplinary Commission have indicated their desire to be reappointed for another term. Rule 49 permits incumbent members to be reappointed for one consecutive three-year term. It is advisable for the two incumbent Commission members to continue to serve until October 31, 2008 and for their new terms to begin on November 1, 2008 and end on October 31, 2011.

On October 6, 2004, by Administrative Order No. 2004-84, J. Conrad Baran was appointed as a lawyer member of the Disciplinary Commission for a term ending on September 30, 2007. On October 10, 2007, by Administrative Order No. 2007-75, Mr. Baran was reappointed to a three-year term with an expiration date of September 30, 2010. Mr. Baran passed away in February of this year. Pursuant to Rule 49, his replacement must reside in a county other than Maricopa County or Pima County and the appointment is for the unexpired portion of Mr. Baran’s term. Linda Houle, an attorney from Navajo County, is eligible for and interested in serving the remainder of Mr. Baran’s term.

Therefore, after consideration of the recommendations submitted by the Disciplinary Commission, pursuant to Rule 49, Rules of the Supreme Court,

IT IS ORDERED that the Court approves the reappointment of the following members:

Daisy R. Flores Three-Year Term
Attorney Member, Gila County November 1, 2008 — October 31, 2011
Jeffrey Messing Three-Year Term
Attorney Member, Maricopa County November 1, 2008 — October 31, 2011

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Court approves the appointment of Linda Houle as an attorney member from Navajo County to serve the unexpired term of J. Conrad Baran. Ms. Houle’s term shall begin upon the effective date of this Order and end on September 30, 2010.
