Pursuant to the policies of the Arizona Judicial Council, all Council members not holding membership by virtue of their position are appointed by the Chief Justice. On May 22, 2008, by Administrative Order No. 2008-43, the Honorable Robert Brutinel was appointed to the Council. Judge Brutinel has been appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court, and the Chief Justice must appoint a judge to fill Judge Brutinel’s unexpired term as the Superior Court Presiding Judge, Rural Representative.

In accordance with the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration § 1-104: Judicial Council, the Chief Justice is responsible for appointing members of the Arizona Judicial Council. Therefore, after due consideration,

IT IS ORDERED that the Honorable Robert Carter Olson, Presiding Judge of the Superior Court in Pinal County, is appointed to complete the unexpired term of Judge Brutinel, effective upon signature of this Order and expiring December 31, 2011.
