In order to conform these rules to amendments made to Rules 16 and 27, Rules of the Commission on Judicial Conduct, adopted on June 8, 2004,

IT IS ORDERED amending Rules 22, 23, and 27, Rules of the Commission on Judicial Conduct, in accordance with the attachments hereto,[*] effective as of the date of signing.

RULES OF THE COMMISSION ON JUDICIAL CONDUCT * * * Rule 22. Investigation
(a) Preliminary investigation. Disciplinary counsel shall conduct a preliminary investigation of a complaint that is not dismissed during initial screening. If, after preliminary investigation of a complaint, disciplinary counsel recommends dismissal or imposition of preliminary measures disciplinaryremedies or informal sanctions, the investigative findings and recommendation shall be reported to the commission.

Rule 23. Commission Review of informal Proceedings
(a) Disposition. After reviewing a complaint, the report of the executive director or disciplinary counsel, or the recommendation of an investigative panel relating to preliminarymeasures disciplinary remedies or informal sanctions, the commission may dismiss the complaint, order further investigation, or take any other disciplinary action consistent with these rules.
